LiLog ("we", "our", or "us") is developed by an individual developer. We value your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how our app handles your data.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
LiLog is a local CAN bus log analysis tool. We do not:
- Collect, upload, or store your CAN log files, DBC files, or any analysis results on external servers
- Require account registration or collect any personal identifiable information (name, email, phone number, address)
- Use any third-party analytics tools, crash reporting tools, or tracking SDKs
- Collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or location data
All CAN log parsing, signal decoding, and charting occur entirely on your device. Your data stays on your device.
2. Information Collected via RevenueCat
LiLog offers premium features through two purchase options — a monthly subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase — managed via RevenueCat, a third-party purchase management service. When you make a purchase or restore a previous purchase, RevenueCat may collect and process the following information:
- Purchase history: purchase date, transaction identifiers, and subscription status (if applicable)
- Device information: anonymized app user ID generated by RevenueCat to restore your purchase across devices via Apple/Google account restoration
- Purchase status: whether your premium entitlement (monthly or lifetime) is active
This information is processed by RevenueCat solely for the purpose of validating your purchase status. We do not have access to your payment details (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.) — those are handled directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play).

3. How We Use the Information
The purchase and subscription status provided by RevenueCat is used exclusively to:
- Determine whether to grant you access to premium features
- Restore your previous purchases and subscriptions when you switch devices or reinstall the app
We do not use this information for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Local storage: CAN log files, parsed data, and DBC signal definitions are stored locally in the app's sandboxed document directory on your device. They are not accessible to other apps.
- SQLite database: Metadata (file names, parse status, time indices) is stored in a local SQLite database for efficient querying.
- No server-side storage: We do not maintain any backend servers that receive or store your data.
You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app or using the delete functionality within the app.
5. Third-Party Services
LiLog integrates the following third-party service:

We do not share any data with other third parties.
6. Network Access
LiLog requires network access only for:
- Communicating with RevenueCat's servers to validate purchase and subscription status, and to process purchases/restorations
- Opening Apple/Google subscription management pages when you choose to manage your subscription or purchase
- Opening external browser when you tap social media links (X, YouTube) in the Settings page
The app is fully functional offline for all CAN analysis features once your premium status has been validated.
7. Children's Privacy
LiLog is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
- Right to access: You can view your purchase status in the app's Settings page.
- Right to delete: You can delete all locally stored data by using the delete functions within the app or by uninstalling the app.
- Right to refund: Refund requests are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) according to their respective refund policies.
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, we do not hold any copies of your data on remote servers.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
